What’s a Health Coach?

A Health Coach is a supportive mentor who guides clients to feeling their best through food and lifestyle changes, and personalized one-on-one encouragement.

A Health Coach’s main role is to support clients in achieving their unique health and wellness goals, from making healthier nutrition choices to managing stress and anxiety. To help clients implement sustainable long-term habits, a Health Coach curates a safe space for them to explore all areas of their well-being.

What Makes Integrative Health Coaching Different?

An Integrative Nutrition Health Coach is a guide and mentor who empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness.

What makes health coaches unique is that they provide guidance and accountability – from exercise and nutrition to relationships, career, and spirituality – for their clients as they embark on a journey toward optimal holistic health.

As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together to explore what truly works for you.

It’s All About You

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to explore their wellness goals with a trained professional.

As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals.

Throughout my education, I have been exposed to the most cutting-edge dietary theories and studied highly effective coaching techniques to help you find the right lifestyle that works best for you.

Small changes
= big results

Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions or good and bad foods, I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together.

As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively creating a much larger impact than they originally anticipated. We work on what they want to improve within the circumstances of their unique situation.

Your Health. Your Life. Your Way.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to health and well-being. We all have different needs, experiences and goals. I meet you where you are, looking at the whole picture, from nutrition and movement to stress, sleep, relationships and everything in between. Together, we’ll explore small, meaningful changes that fit your life and feel good to you.

Meet Your Health Coach

Hi, I’m Brooke! I’m an Integrative Health Coach with a background in public health, emergency medicine, yoga, and plant-based nutrition.

I spent nearly 16 years working in healthcare, helping people through some of their most challenging moments. Then, in 2014, I was diagnosed with leukemia, and suddenly I found myself on the other side of the hospital bed.

Becoming the patient changed the way I understood health and wellness. I learned firsthand that taking care of ourselves involves so much more than eating well and exercising. It's also about rest, resilience, connection, and learning to listen to what our bodies need.

Today, I bring together my professional training and personal experience to help people make meaningful, sustainable changes that fit their lives.

I believe you know your body and your life better than anyone. My job is to help you get curious, explore what's possible, and discover what truly supports you.

Grounded in science. Shaped by experience. Connected by heart.

My Approach

I believe true wellness involves more than what we eat or how often we exercise. Our physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, environment and daily habits are all connected.

Mind. Body. Spirit.

My approach to health coaching is holistic, grounded in science and shaped by lived experience. Together, we'll explore what's working in your life, what feels out of balance and where small, meaningful changes could make a difference.

I believe you know your body and your life better than anyone. My role isn't to tell you what to eat or how to live, but to help you become more curious, understand your needs and discover what truly supports you.

We'll identify what matters most to you, create realistic goals and build sustainable habits that fit your life. Because wellness isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about finding what works for you, even as life changes.

Your health. Your goals. Your journey.

What We’ll Explore Together

  • Integrative Nutrition Plate†

    Integrative Nutrition Plate†

The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, healthy plant-based fats and water. It offers a simple visual guide to building balanced meals, with an emphasis on variety, proportions and portion sizes.

But nourishing yourself goes beyond what's on your plate. Surrounding the plate are essential lifestyle factors that contribute to overall well-being, including relationships, career, physical activity and spirituality.

Together, we'll explore nourishing foods, simple ways to incorporate them into your daily routine and how to make choices that support your individual needs. Because healthy eating isn't about following a perfect formula. It's about discovering what works best for your unique body, lifestyle and goals.

    Bio-IINdividuality*

We all have unique nutritional and lifestyle needs. What works for one person may not work for another, which is why one-size-fits-all diets often fall short.

The concept of bio-individuality recognizes that our bodies, backgrounds, preferences and lifestyles all influence how we feel. Genetics, ancestry, daily routines and personal experiences can shape what supports our well-being.

Rather than following rigid rules or someone else's idea of healthy, we'll explore what works best for YOU. Together, we'll listen to your body's signals and make realistic, sustainable changes that fit your life.

Lasting wellness isn't about finding the perfect diet. It's about discovering what helps you feel your best and building habits that support you for the long run.

    Crowding Out††

    Focus on Adding, Not Restricting

So much nutrition advice focuses on what you should and shouldn't eat, leaving people feeling restricted or discouraged. My approach is different.

Rather than eliminating foods, we focus on adding more of what nourishes you. As you incorporate wholesome foods and drinks into your routine, you'll naturally have less room and often less desire for things that don't support how you want to feel.

This is called crowding out. It's about making room for the good stuff instead of focusing on what you're giving up. Over time, these small shifts can help healthier choices feel more natural and enjoyable, without the pressure of getting everything right.

Together, we'll explore ways to build nourishing habits and make sustainable changes that fit your body, preferences and everyday life, without rigid rules or expectations of perfection.

    Primary Food†

It's easy to overlook all the things that contribute to our nourishment and fulfillment. True wellness goes beyond what's on our plates. It's shaped by how we live, connect and find meaning in everyday life.

Healthy relationships, fulfilling work, physical activity, creativity, spirituality and time for ourselves are essential forms of nourishment. These are what we call primary foods, the experiences and connections that feed us in ways food alone cannot.

When these areas feel balanced, the food we eat becomes secondary. But when something is missing, even the healthiest diet may leave us feeling unsatisfied or disconnected from what matters most.

Together, we'll explore your overall well-being, identify areas that could use a little more attention and create realistic, sustainable changes that support your individual needs and goals.

Because feeling truly nourished isn't just about what you eat. It's about creating a life that feels good to live.

    Deconstructing Cravings††

Cravings can offer valuable clues about what your body needs. Rather than ignoring or fighting them, we can learn to listen with curiosity and compassion.

Sometimes cravings are connected to hunger or nutritional needs. Other times, stress, emotions, sleep or everyday habits may play a role. Understanding these patterns helps us get curious about what's really going on beneath the surface.

Together, we'll explore what triggers your cravings, how they make you feel and what your body might be asking for. Instead of relying on willpower or restriction, we'll find practical ways to respond with awareness and compassion, without judgment or guilt.

The goal isn't to eliminate cravings. It's to better understand yourself, make supportive choices and create a greater sense of balance in your daily life. Over time, this awareness can help you build a healthier, more trusting relationship with your body and its needs.

  • A Mindful Approach to Food

Mindful eating is about slowing down, tuning in and becoming more aware of your relationship with food. It's not just what you eat, but how you eat and how you feel along the way.

Together, we'll explore hunger and fullness cues, emotional eating, distractions and the everyday habits that influence your choices. By bringing more awareness to mealtimes, you can begin to recognize what truly nourishes and satisfies you, while learning to listen to your body's natural signals.

There's no judgment, guilt or expectation of perfection. Just an opportunity to reconnect with your body, enjoy your food and build a more balanced, positive relationship with eating. Small, intentional changes can help make mealtimes feel more relaxed, satisfying and enjoyable.

Because nourishing yourself should feel supportive, enjoyable and satisfying, not stressful. It's about finding a way of eating that feels good for both your body and your life.
